“Our experience with Coach Lauren started before we ever knew we would have the opportunity

to train with her. We spent a season attending Fresno State softball games watching her play and

lead her team. It was impossible not to notice her presence on the field and at the plate and after

the first game my daughter was absolutely awestruck and became an instant fan! We spent the

season following her big hitting and watching her flawless fielding and I was always impressed

by her composure and what a good teammate she was. She was the walking blueprint of what I

hoped to guild my child to be as a female athlete.

Following the end of the 2024/2025 softball season we came across a flyer for a hitting camp and

I recognized Coach Lauren and reached out immediately to reserve our spot. During that

interaction I mentioned how excited my daughter was going to be to meet her. To our surprise

Coach Lauren presented my daughter with a signed ball at the end of camp! There are no words

to describe what that meant to my daughter. The idea that this coach that has never met us would

go out of her way like that for a 10 year old was unreal. We would later learn through our

experiences with Coach Lauren that this is exactly who she is to her core. There is nothing she

won’t do to encourage and help support the dreams of the young players in her life. She would

prove this time and time again as a private coach and guest coach on our team.

Throughout our time working with Coach Lauren hitting and fielding, my daughter has grown

exponentially as an athlete and as a leader. I saw this effect on not just my own daughter, but

with all of my team. Coach Lauren’s approach is rooted in a deep respect for the game and

because of this she stays true to the idea of honest development, not just results. There are no

shortcuts in her training and she is meticulous in her approach to the game. She also has a very

unique ability to meet players where they are and not where she wants them to be. She has

endless patience and a holistic approach to coaching. It was not out of the ordinary to see Coach

Lauren speaking with a player or parent before or after practice to see if she could gain insight to

help her improve her understanding of the players. She makes a point to know their goals and

understand what motivates them and she utilizes knowledge in her coaching.

As a coach I had multiple players work privately with Coach Lauren and their improvement was

not only noticeable, it was measurable, this included my daughter. She didn’t just improve their

mechanics, she focused on their mental approach and taught them how to be more successful

consistently. Most importantly, the knowledge she shares with her players is the kind of time

tested and fundamental information that can be built on as they prepare for higher levels of play.
